# Pricing tiers

> Squid ID's per-match rate steps down with monthly identification volume across three pricing tiers, capped at 5,000 matches per month per website.

The per-match rate depends on how many matches you have had this calendar month. The more you match in a month, the lower the rate on additional matches. Tiers reset at the start of each month.

## If you're coming from RB2B

<div className="compare"><table><thead><tr><th /><th>RB2B</th><th>Squid ID</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Rate structure</td><td>Fixed per-credit rate by plan</td><td>Volume tiers that step down within the month</td></tr><tr><td>High volume</td><td>Upgrade to a higher plan</td><td>Rate drops automatically as you cross 500 and 2,000</td></tr><tr><td>Ceiling</td><td>Plan-dependent</td><td>5,000 matches/month, then contact us</td></tr></tbody></table></div>

<p className="why"><strong>Why this matters.</strong> You do not change plans to get a better rate. The rate steps down on its own as your monthly volume grows, and resets each month.</p>

| Monthly volume | Per-match rate |
| -------------------- | -------------- |
| First 500 (1 to 500) | \$0.25 |
| 501 to 2,000 | \$0.20 |
| 2,001 to 5,000 | \$0.15 |

The rate is marginal. Each match is priced at the rate for your month-to-date count, so the first 500 matches are \$0.25 each, the next 1,500 are \$0.20 each, and the rest up to the cap are \$0.15 each. Hitting a higher tier does not re-price the matches you already had this month.

## The usage meter

Settings → Billing shows a "Usage this month" panel with:

* **Current rate**, the per-match rate at your current volume, labeled with which of the 3 tiers you are in.
* **Matches resolved** this month, and how many more until the next tier.
* **Avg cost / match**, your total paid spend divided by paid matches. This runs below the headline rate while bonus credits are still in play.
* **Projected month-end**, a linear projection from your current pace.

A segmented bar shows each tier as its own band and fills as you move toward the cheaper rates.

<Info>
Only paid identifications (visitor matches and form-fill) count toward tier progression. Bonus credits do not advance your volume tier. [Squid ID+](/finding-visitors/squid-id-plus) reveal charges are separate and shown on their own line.
