Ownership of a website can be transferred to another teammate. Only the current Owner can do this, and the target must already be an Admin on that website.

Before you start

The teammate you transfer to must already be an Admin on the website and must have signed in to Squid ID at least once. If they are not yet an Admin, invite them or change their role first. See Team members and roles.

Open the Team page

Select the website in the switcher, then go to Settings → Team.

Transfer to an Admin

On the Admin’s row, click the transfer icon and confirm.

What changes

The teammate becomes the new Owner and gains billing, add-ons, and transfer rights for that website. You are moved to Admin. You keep dashboard and operational access but lose billing rights. From then on, only the new Owner can manage payment, add-ons, and downgrades for the site.
Billing for the website becomes the new Owner’s responsibility. Make sure they are ready to manage payment before you transfer.
