When a visitor is identified, Squid ID can add them to an Instantly campaign (which starts the outreach sequence) or a lead list (staging you review first). You connect with an Instantly API key, pick the destination, and choose which visitors qualify.

If you already use Instantly’s Website Visitors

Instantly sells its own website-visitor add-on, but it resolves a business email and/or LinkedIn profile (company as a fallback) and pushes everyone into a campaign. Squid ID is the deeper identification and enrichment layer feeding the same Instantly sending you already use.

Why this matters. Instantly is a great place to run the sequence, but its visitor add-on sends shallow records for everyone. Squid ID lets you enroll only on-profile visitors and hands the sequence a mobile number and personal email to work with, which its native product cannot provide. If you pipe Squid ID into Instantly, you don’t need Instantly’s visitor add-on at all.

Coming from RB2B? RB2B pushes to Instantly through a generic webhook: a blind POST with no campaign or lead-list selection, no ICP targeting, and no mobile or personal email. This is a native Instantly connector, which is why it can do more: you pick the exact campaign or list from a dropdown, send only on-ICP visitors, attach Squid ID+ data, and the key is verified against Instantly when you save it. A webhook just hands data over; a native connector controls what is sent and where it lands.

Before you start

You’ll move faster if these are already in place.
  • You’re an Owner or Admin on the website. Viewers can see the connector but can’t change it.
  • The snippet is installed and verified, so there are visitors to send.
  • An Instantly V2 API key (Growth plan or above), and a campaign or lead list to add leads to.

Connect Instantly

1

Create an API key in Instantly

In Instantly, go to Settings → Integrations → API Keys and create a V2 key.
2

Paste the key

In Squid ID, go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect on the Instantly card. Paste the key. Squid ID verifies it against Instantly before saving.
3

Pick a destination

Choose a lead list (leads are added for you to review) or a campaign (leads are enrolled and outreach starts). Pick the specific list or campaign from the dropdown.
4

Set who sends, then save

Choose the frequency, routing, and requirements (below), then Save.

Choose who sends

  • Send. Once per visitor (the default) adds a person once; every identified visit re-sends on return visits.
  • Send (routing). Add all identified visitors, any ICP match, only specific ICPs, any high-intent page, or only specific high-intent pages.
  • Requirements. Require a company, a LinkedIn profile, or a work or personal email before a lead is added.

What the lead carries

The lead’s send-to address is the work email. The rest arrives as fields and Instantly custom variables you can use in your sequence copy:
  • Standard: first_name, last_name, company_name, job_title, website, phone.
  • Custom variables: squid_icp, squid_is_icp_match, squid_linkedin, squid_location, squid_landing_page, squid_referrer, squid_profile_url.
  • With Squid ID+ unlocked: squid_personal_email, squid_mobile_phone, squid_home_address.
The personal email is provided as a custom variable, not as the lead’s send-to address, so cold outreach goes to the work inbox by default. Use Squid ID+ data responsibly and honor opt-outs and local cold-email rules.

Pause or disconnect

  • Pause: Use the toggle on the Instantly card to stop sending without losing the key or settings.
  • Disconnect: Open the connector and click Disconnect.
