If you’re coming from RB2B
If you currently use RB2B, here’s how the HubSpot sync compares:| RB2B | Squid ID | |
|---|---|---|
| Connection | HubSpot OAuth | HubSpot OAuth |
| Synced as | Contact | Contact |
| Filters | Limited | Email type, require LinkedIn, require company name |
| Pause without disconnecting | Not available | Enable/disable toggle keeps the connection |
Why this matters. Syncing every identified visitor can fill HubSpot with contacts you don’t want. Filters gate each visitor on email type and required fields before a contact is created, so only the records you care about land in HubSpot.
Before you start
You’ll move faster if these are already in place.
- You’re an Owner or Admin on the website. Viewers can see the connector but can’t change it.
- The snippet is installed and verified, so there are visitors to sync.
- You can sign in to HubSpot and authorize an app. Allow pop-ups for asksquid.ai.
Connect HubSpot
Authorize with HubSpot
Click Authorize with HubSpot. A HubSpot window opens. Sign in and approve access.
Filter which visitors sync
By default every identified visitor is synced. Open the HubSpot connector and turn on Filter to add requirements. When the filter is on, a visitor is synced only if they match every requirement you select.- Email type: Any, Work, or Personal.
- Require LinkedIn URL: the visitor must have a LinkedIn profile.
- Require company name: the visitor must have a company name.
Pause or disconnect
- Pause: Use the toggle on the HubSpot card to stop syncing without losing the connection. No re-authorization is needed to resume.
- Disconnect: Open the connector and click Disconnect. This revokes Squid ID’s authorization in HubSpot on both sides. Reconnecting requires going through the HubSpot OAuth flow again.
