Why this matters. An agency can deliver leads where each client works, without mixing clients, and the client stays in control of where their visitor data goes.
Client leads in the client’s Slack
1
Select the client's website
Pick the client’s website at the top of the app and open Settings → Integrations → Slack.
2
Choose the client's workspace
Click Change workspace (or, for a website with no Slack yet, Sign in to a different Slack) and sign in to the client’s Slack. You need to be a member of it with permission to install apps, or ask the client to add you.
3
Add the client's channel
Click Add channel and pick a channel from the client’s workspace.
No access to the client’s Slack? If you share a channel with the client through Slack Connect, add that shared channel from your own workspace instead. Messages appear on both sides, and the Unlock button works for people at either company.
Client leads in your agency’s Slack
Use your agency workspace for the client’s website and add a channel there, for example#client-acme. To see every client in one channel, follow One channel for several websites.
Change workspace also lists every workspace you’ve already connected. Pick one to use it for the website without signing in again.
Owners and admins each get their own alerts
A website’s owner and its admins can each set up Slack from their own login. Each person’s channels post through the Slack workspace they connected, so an agency admin and the client who owns the website can both get alerts, in their own Slack.- The website owner sees every channel other people set up for the website, under Also posting this site’s leads, with who added it and which Slack workspace it posts into. Only the person who added a channel can edit it, and the owner can stop it.
- Admins see only how many other channels get the website’s leads, never whose they are or where they post. Two agencies working on the same client’s website don’t see each other’s setup.
- The same Slack channel can only be added once per website, so leads never post twice.
- If the website owner pauses Slack, channels admins set up for that website pause too.
- If you’re removed as an admin of a website, the channels you added for it stop posting.
- Sending a lead to more channels costs nothing extra. Matches are billed once, to the website owner.
Credit is per account. As an admin you can’t add credit to a client’s account. If the client’s website is paused for a low balance, the client (the website owner) adds credit.
Stop someone else’s channel (owners)
The website owner pays for every lead and decides where its data goes. If an admin has set up a channel for your website in their own Slack, you can stop it.1
Find the channel
On your website’s Slack page, look under Also posting this site’s leads. Each row shows who added the channel and which Slack workspace it posts into.
2
Stop sending
Click Stop sending. A confirmation explains exactly what stops: the channel no longer gets your website’s leads (names, companies, contact details, and Squid ID+ fields), and its Unlock buttons stop working, so nothing more is charged from it.
3
Allow it again anytime
The other person’s setup is kept. Their channel shows Turned off by the owner, and they can’t turn it back on. Click Allow again to restore it.
